Dr. Blomberg conducts BRMT for the child.

From Sweden: Non-Medication, Non-Invasive Wellness and Exercise Therapy

The “Blomberg Rhythmic Movement Training” (BRMT) system was developed in 1985 by Swedish psychiatrist Dr. Harald Blomberg, MD, as a non-pharmacological, non-invasive health and movement therapy. It focuses on improving the health condition of child and adult and their learning and emotional performances with the help of movement training and “Hono Reborn”.

Over the 40 years since its inception, Dr. Blomberg and his team of experts have continuously refined the system, incorporating new elements based on the latest scientific research and environmental changes.

BRMT is inspired by the innate rhythmic movements of infants perform before learning to walk. These movements are crucial for the brain’s maturation process, playing a key role in developing motor skills, emotional regulation, and cognitive abilities. By engaging in rhythmic movement training to promote neural network development, BRMT effectively enhances focus, impulse control, visual coordination, and speech development. It also strengthens muscle tone, improves vision and emotional regulation, and aids in integrating primitive and postural reflexes.

Intro

The new 2024 course – BRMT Visual Perception Training for Children – was co-developed by Dr. Chan and her team based on her years of educational and case experience. This interdisciplinary course integrates new knowledge from optometry, child psychology, and neuroscience, ensuring the curriculum stays current.

Over the years, BRMT has helped countless individuals, particularly children with special learning needs, by promoting neural integration in the brain and improving the development of various physical functions. The results have been significant and encouraging.

BRMT Level 1: Rhythmic Movement Training and Primitive Reflexes

In this course, participants learn the basics of the rhythmic movement training: how rhythmic exercises can be utilized to regulate muscle tone, stimulate the brain in order to improve attention and control of impulses and to diminish hyperactivity. The course also includes a survey of the most important primitive reflexes in these conditions, and how to integrate them with rhythmic exercises.

・No previous knowledge required

BRMT Level 2: Rhythmic Movement, Emotions, Inner Leadership and Limbic System

This course enables us to work with movements to get in touch with our emotions, and to stabilize emotions when they threaten to take command.

The course also deals with reflexes that especially affect our emotions: the Fear Paralysis reflex, the Moro reflex and the Tendon Guard reflex. It is a necessary tool for anyone who wishes to work with rhythmic movement training.

・Prerequisite: BRMT Level 1

BRMT Level 3: Rhythmic Movement Training and Reflexes in Reading and Writing Difficulties

This course deals with how our reading and writing ability is affected by various factors such as vision, articulation and motor ability. We learn how to test for non-integrated primitive reflexes and recognize other motor disabilities that are important for dyslexia.

Additionally we learn how to improve reading and writing ability by correcting these problems with rhythmic exercises and reflex integration. Emphasis on recognizing visual problems and improving vision and reading by combining rhythmic and visual exercises. Special importance is attached to vision and learning how to recognize visual problems and improve vision by various exercises.

・Prerequisite: BRMT Level 2

BRMT and Diet for Children with Autism and Other Challenges

Diet Management Level 1&2

This course deals with the great importance of diet and food supplements when working with rhythmic movements, not only in autism but also in ADHD, dyslexia and motor problems. Food intolerance is becoming more and more common and may interfere with the training.

This course teaches how to test for food intolerance and food supplements the child may need. The course also deals with primitive reflexes which are especially common in autism and how to conduct the training with children suffering from autism and ADD.

Prerequisites:
● Level 1: None
● Level 2: Diet Management Level 1 or BRMT Level 2

BRMT in Preschool / Kindergarten for Children

BRMT for Early Childhood Development

This course teaches the basics of BRMT in a similar way as the level 1 course. The course teaches how to use the basic rhythmic movement trainings with preschool children and how to recognize and test for many primitive reflexes that affect the motor, emotional and mental development of the preschool child. This course also includes rhythmic movements and primitive reflex integration games suitable for preschool children.

BRMT for Pain Management, Part 1 and 2

BRMT – Pain Management (Level1 &2)

These two courses deal with muscle tensions which overload the neck, spine and joints and cause muscle inflammation, osteoarthritis of the joints and spine, rotated pelvis, and deformity of the skeleton for example scoliosis or hunches.

Part 1 deals with the basics of BRMT and with muscle tensions due to emotional stress and active stress reflexes and what to do about these. It also introduces primitive reflexes which may cause muscle tensions, deformation of the skeleton and joints and osteoarthritis. We will learn to test for and integrate several primitive reflexes and use rhythmic exercises to correct hunches and use reflex exercises to correct rotated pelvis.

In Part 2, we learn to test and integrate primitive reflexes which cause muscle tension, pain, osteoarthritis and deformity on different levels: jaws, neck, thoracic spine, lumbar spine, hips, legs, knees, feet, shoulders and elbows. We learn to integrate all reflexes which may cause a rotated pelvis and work with hip pain to prevent osteoarthritis of the hips.

Prerequisite:
● Part 1 – No previous knowledge required
● Part 2 – Part 1 or BRMT Level 2

BRMT for Exceptional Children, Part 1 and 2

布隆貝格-不一樣的孩子(第一級及第二級)

The content of these two courses collaborates the clinical researches over the past 30 years. The courses will introduce those primitive reflexes affecting children’s learning ability and development of emotions, and the rhythmic exercises and games to help integrating these reflexes.

The courses will also dealt with the effective ways to improve attention, self-confidence, hands-eyes coordination, memory and emotions in children.

Prerequisite:
● Part 1 – No previous knowledge required
● Part 2 – Part 1 or BRMT Level 2

BRMT, Dreams and Inner Healing

Dreams and Inner Healing

This course will give the participants tools to work with the sometimes scary dreams that may be caused by rhythmic movement training. The symbols of such dreams are often similar to symbols of myths and folk tales and in the course Dr. Blomberg discusses the meaning of these symbols for healing and reflex integration, and how we can use this information when working with our clients.

Participants are encouraged to do the movements for a period and keep a dream diary to bring to the course.

Prerequisite: BRMT Level 2
